Children learned the basic techniques in painting, mixing colors, light and dark shades, and visualizing and differentiating shapes in their neighborhood architecture. A discussion about the neighborhood took place. Pictures of the artworks are below.
We also worked with Clay. A fantastic medium that involves all 4 elements: Water, Air, Earth, and Fire. We use the handbuild technique for this work, connecting to the early cultures that used clay for building homes, pottery, flooring, etc., in countries like Africa, Mexico, Japan, China, Portugal, to name a few. Another project was a 3D art work on Unesco World Heritage Site Taj Mahal. It was a cultural trip to India’s jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage, and an enduring monument to Love. Artwork pictures are below.
