Book Launching – THREE SISTERS, THREE WEDDINGS, AND ONE DRESS
Marcela Carvalho will read the story of Three Sisters, Three Weddings, And One Dress
on December 14th at 7 PM at the Brazilian Endowment for The Arts, 240 E. 52nd
Street, NY NY 10022.
This charming children’s book was inspired by a true story with a comic twist of
adventurous events fashioned by Marcela. It takes place in one of Brazil’s beautiful
colonial churches at the city of Ouro Preto, built in the 17th Century and nestled
beautifully in a rolling valley with steep streets. The book features delightfully
primitive images also illustrated by Ms. Carvalho. It’s written in English with a few
short quotes in Portuguese (Marcela’s native language) along with translations. Light
refreshments will be served. All ages are welcome. The book is in stores right now and
